CAIRO, Ill. -- Graveside service for Illeana McCowen of Cairo will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds. The Rev. Kenneth Provines will officiate.
There is no visitation. Barkett Funeral Home at Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
McCowen, 66, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born March 25, 1927, in St. Louis, daughter of Elmer F. and Jettye Skinner Millikan.
McCowen had worked 29 years for Illinois Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of Tigert Memorial United Methodist Church, and Telephone Pioneers of America.
Survivors include her husband, Charles McCowen; a daughter, Julia Prater of East Cape Girardeau; a sister, Elma Hays of West Frankfort, and two grandchildren.
