IDA MANTZ

JACKSON, Mo. -- Funeral for Ida M. Mantz of Jackson will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. Donald Sander will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Mantz, 86, died Thursday, July 12, 2001, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Jan. 11, 1915, at Patton, Mo., daughter of Wiley J. and Mary M. McGraw Gallup. She and Robert William "Pete" Mantz were married Sept. 23, 1933. He died July 13, 1988.

Mantz was a member of Post Oak Congregational Methodist Church near Patton, and was a former Sunday School teacher. She had been at Jackson Manor since January 2000.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Ballew of Bridgeton, Mo., Doris Weimer of Cape Girardeau, Sharon Mantz of Jackson; a son, Robert L. "Bob" Mantz of Farrar; a sister, Esther Doggett of Patton; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
