CAIRO, Ill. -- I.B. Allbritten, 82, of Oshkosh, Wis., formerly of Cairo, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, at Park View Health Center in Oshkosh.
He was born Sept. 14, 1919, in New Concord, Ky., son of Bluford and Nola Marr Allbritten. He married Mary Helen Allbritten, who died in 1987.
Allbritten had been sales manager at Calvin Watson Cadillac, Buick and Pontiac Inc. in Cairo. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, and member and past exalted ruler of Cairo Elks Lodge 651.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Kevin Allbritten of Duluth, Ga.; a sister, Robbie Bucy of Murray, Ky.; a brother, Max Allbritten of Warren, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 5-8 p.m. Friday. The Elks will conduct memorial rites at 7, followed by the rosary at 7:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rev. Jerome Fortenberry officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Villa Ridge, Ill.
