DEXTER, Mo. -- Hurles Eugene Pace, 73, of Somerset, Ky., died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 28, 1927, son of Shirles and Jessie Landon Pace.
He married Betty Crowe May 19, 1946 in Sikeston, Mo.
He had lived near Somerset for the last 15 years. He had previously worked as a heavy equipment operator on road construction in Texas.
He was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ near Somerset.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Larry Pace of Round Rock, Texas, and Jimmy Pace of Johnson City, Texas; three daughters, Jeanie Helm of Leander, Texas, Peggy Patterson of Mount Vernon, Ky., and Susan Votaw of Crowley, Texas; three brothers, Hubert Pace of Farmington, Mo., Homer Pace of Piedmont, Mo., and Val Pace of Mountain View, Ark.; two sisters, Mae Clifton of Columbia, Ill., and Nell Clayton of Florissant, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Brother Ron Alexander will officiate.
Burial will be at Rock Hill Cemetery near Puxico, Mo.
