ADVANCE -- Hubert H. Deckard, 66, of Advance died Saturday, Nov. 8, 1997, at his home. He was born Jan. 28, 1931, at Alton to Henry Deckard and Goldie Conner. He married Maxine Schanks on Nov. 1, 1952, at Salem, Ark. He was a shoe repairman for 20 years and a member of Zalma Masonic Lodge 545, Scottish Rites and the Shriners...

ADVANCE -- Hubert H. Deckard, 66, of Advance died Saturday, Nov. 8, 1997, at his home.

He was born Jan. 28, 1931, at Alton to Henry Deckard and Goldie Conner.

He married Maxine Schanks on Nov. 1, 1952, at Salem, Ark.

He was a shoe repairman for 20 years and a member of Zalma Masonic Lodge 545, Scottish Rites and the Shriners.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sheila Bell of Houston, Texas; a brother, Delbert Deckard of Alton; a sister, Daisy Corlew of St. Louis; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A brother and sister preceded him in death.
