MATTHEWS, Mo. -- Hubert Farrell Bewley, 72, of Matthews died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

He was born March 26, 1932, in London, Ark., son of Raymond Elmer and Grace Cox Bewley. He and Shirley Trail were married June 8, 1951, in Piggott, Ark.

Bewley was a self-employed welder/mechanic at Bewley's Garage.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Bruce Bewley of Branson, Mo., Farrell Bewley of Matthews, Daren Bewley of Moncks, S.C.; two daughters, Darlene Polk of Matthews, Jennifer Morgan of Sikeston; five brothers, Sonny, John and Buster Bewley of Jonesboro, Ark., Sherman Bewley of South Bend, Ind., Tom Bewley of East Prairie, Mo.; three sisters, Jan Carter of Cedarville, Ark., Evelyn Baker and JoEtta Bandy of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and a brother.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Don Heitman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
