KARNAK, Ill. -- Howard Thomas, 83, of Karnak, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at the home of a daughter in Joppa.
He was born July 15, 1916, at Dongola, son of William and Sarah Peterson Thomas. He and Geraldine Wilkenson were married. She preceded him in death.
Thomas had retired as a construction worker and had been a member of Laborers Local 1320 in Metropolis.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Livingston of Joppa; a son, Harold Thomas of Hillsboro; and a sister, Myrtle Easter of Grand Chain.
He also was preceded in death by a daughter, granddaughter, three brothers, a sister and his parents.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Homer Harner and Scott Harner officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Cypress.
