PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Howard L. Schnurbusch, 77, of Perryville died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Howard L. Schnurbusch, 77, of Perryville died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Schnurbusch was born Aug. 13, 1923 in Perry County, Mo., son of William L. and Theresa Gebhardt Schnurbusch.

He and Alice Biri of Perryville were married Aug. 23, 1944, at Perryville.

Schnurbusch was a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, the V.F.W. and the American Legion. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include three sons, Dennis Schnurbusch of Nashville, Tenn., Lynn Joseph Schnurbusch of Perryville and Kenneth Ray Schnurbusch of O'Fallon, Mo.; one sister, Marie Gibbar of Perryville; two brothers, Homer Schnurbusch of Cape Girardeau and Ralph Schnurbusch of Farmington, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter and a brother.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish wake service will be at 7 p.m., followed by the American Legion service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be from 6:30-9:50 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rosary recited at 9 a.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin P. Fausz presiding. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
