Howard Keith Smith, 63, 1607 Perryville Road, died Friday, Jan. 3, 1992, at his home.
He was born Oct. 6, 1928, in David City, Neb., son of Howard and Effie Woolsey Smith. He and Helen Marie Faucett Wissman were married Sept. 4, 1981, in Cape Girardeau.
Smith worked for Gilster-Mary Lee Corp. a number of years, having operated Mary Lee Donut Shops several years. He moved back to Cape Girardeau in 1979 and had been a truck driver with Gilster-Mary Lee since then. He was a member of Elks and Eagles Lodges.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Dale Smith of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two daughters, Dianna Murray of New Port Richey, Fla., Brenda Stephens of San Marcos, Calif.; two stepsons, Kent Wissman of Bay City, Texas, Marc Wissman of El Paso, Texas; a brother, Willard Smith of Santa Paula, Calif.; three sisters, Jeanette Brunson, Marge Leslie and Lois Kroft of Kansas City, and five grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. S.S. Borum will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today. An Elks service will be held at 7, and Eagles service at 7:30.
