Howard "Doug" Huffman, 63, of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
He was born Oct. 18, 1948, in Greenville, Miss., to Howard Cibet and Ann E. Thompson Huffman.
Doug was a Central High School graduate. He worked as a security guard and was also a licensed tankerman in the river barge industry.
Survivors include his parents, Howard C. and Ann E. Huffman of Cape Girardeau; a son, Benjamin Justin Huffman of Barnhart, Mo.; a daughter, Amanda Marie Huffman of Kansas City, Mo.; brother, Steve (Trudi) Huffman of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Carolyn (Marvin, Jr.) Best of Gordonville and Elaine (Greg) Atwood of Carbondale, Ill.; and three nephews, Bob Best, Terry Best and Trevor Atwood.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daniel Johnson officiating.
Entombment will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
