Evans, 67, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Aug. 2, 1924, at Hayti, son of Harrison and Ethel May Hood Evans. He and Judy Deputy were married Oct. 6, 1990.

Evans was a carpenter.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Becky Evans of Poplar Bluff; two stepdaughters, Gladys Neighbors of Cape Girardeau, Cheryl Fuller of Emporia, Kan.; six stepsons, Mark Nokes of Chicago, Milton Nokes of Topeka, Kan., Stephen Nokes of Springfield, Glen Davidson of Shawnee, Okla., Christopher Stults and Derek Dale of Scott City; two brothers, Carlos Evans of Hayti, Colleen Beck of Bloomington, Ill., and 16 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and grandson.
