HESTER T. MCATEE

PERRYVILLE -- Hester T. McAtee, 83, of Perryville died Friday, Dec. 11, 1998, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Oct. 26, 1915, in Perry County, daughter of Pius L. and Marcella Brewer Moonier.

She married Claude T. "Cinna" McAtee on March 2, 1935. He died Dec. 30, 1992.

She started the first Perryville Public School Cafeteria. She was a cook for St. Vincent de Paul Rectory and Convent. She also was owner of Cinna's Saveway in Brewer,

She is survived by two sons, Donald T. McAtee of Ste. Genevieve and Robert McAtee of Perryville; two daughters, Mickey Hoehn and Judy Duvall, both of Perryville; two sisters, Hazel Tucker and Rosemary Paulus, both of Perryville; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, brother and three sisters.

Service will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home Chapel Monday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Rich Lause officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 4 to 9 p.m., and Monday, from 6:30 a.m. to service time.
