HESTER RICHMOND

BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Hester M. Richmond of Bloomfield will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Andy Pratt will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield Cemetery.

Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Richmond, 99, died Friday, Nov. 6, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 21, 1893, in Bloomington, Ill., daughter of William A. and Kittie Quackenbush Holcomb. She married E.W. Lige Richmond in 1921, who died in August 1964.

Richmond was a member of First Baptist Church here, and charter member of Order of Eastern Star 344 in Poplar Bluff.

Survivors include three sons, H.M. Richmond of Bloomfield, Winfield and C.L. Richmond of Dexter; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and two stepsons.
