JACKSON -- Hester Morton, 88, of Jackson died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998, at the Cape Girardeau Lutheran Home.
She was born March 6, 1910, near Leemon to Millard and Minerva Walker Medlock.
She married Ed Morton Nov. 10, 1930. He died May 6, 1976.
She was a lifelong member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Leon Morton, Jerry Morton and Glen Morton, all of Jackson; two daughters, Betty Hink of Florissant and Doris King of Bowling Green, Ky.; a sister, Maud Gohn of Jackson; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Visitation is today from 4 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Luther Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
