JACKSON -- Hester L. Miller, 99, of Jackson died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Oct. 2, 1898, at Kurreville, daughter of John M. and Maloda Mayfield Dalton. She and Thomas E. Miller were married Dec. 14, 1927. He died Aug. 24, 1960.
Before she was married Miller taught in the Old Salem School District, and had worked at the former Bowman Milling Co. She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women and Belle Bennett Circle.
Survivors include a son, Rex Miller of Fountain, Colo.; and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
