NEW HAMBURG, Mo. -- Hester Glueck, 78, of New Hamburg died Friday, April 22, 2011, at Chaffee (Mo.) Nursing Center.
She was born in Fornfelt, one of triplets born to the late Lester and Nona Bell Lincoln Welker. She married Glen C. Glueck on Aug. 12, 1950, and he passed away Oct. 29, 1976.
Hester was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg and belonged to St. Ann Sodality. She loved to sing and listen to gospel music.
Survivors include one son, Larry "Hammer" (Paula) Glueck of Chaffee; two daughters, Dorothy Black of Scott City, Glenda (Sonny) Eason of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren, Eric Lange of Scott City, Angie (Jeremy) Ruiz of Chaffee, Kelly (Jason) Resselof Scott City, G.P. (Jennifer) Glueck of New Hamburg, Jessica Eason and Justin Eason, both of Scott City; nine great-grandchildren, Lacey, Luke and Riley Lange, Seger Ruiz, Lexi Burnett, Halle Ressel, Harley and Keira Glueck and Clayton Braxton, and one great-grandchild is expected later; several nieces and nephews.
Three brothers and five sisters also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Monday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with a parish rosary at 7.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating.
Burial will be at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in New Hamburg.
