Hermine Hurst

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Hermine R. Hurst, 97, of Perryville died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 24, 1910, in St. Louis, daughter of John C. and Christine Neider Reiser. She and Charles F. Hurst were married Nov. 13, 1935, at Lemay, Mo. He died Oct. 4, 1984.

Hurst was a data processing manager at Monsanto Corp. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and Ladies of Charity.

Survivors include three daughters, Francine Ray of Perryville, Joan King of St. Charles, Mo., Linda Bursac of Florissant, Mo.; a son, John Hurst of Florissant; a sister, Catherine Koenen of Affton, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Friday at Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Friday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery in Affton.
