PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Herman L. Wibbenmeyer, 87, of Perryville died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Perry Oaks Manor. He was born Dec. 6, 1922, at Apple Creek, Mo., son of Joseph Henry and Clara Welker Wibbenmeyer. He and Lucille E. Zoellner were married Nov. 9, 1946, at Biehle, Mo. She preceded him in death Aug. 1, 2001...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Herman L. Wibbenmeyer, 87, of Perryville died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Perry Oaks Manor.

He was born Dec. 6, 1922, at Apple Creek, Mo., son of Joseph Henry and Clara Welker Wibbenmeyer. He and Lucille E. Zoellner were married Nov. 9, 1946, at Biehle, Mo. She preceded him in death Aug. 1, 2001.

Herman was an aircraft inspector with Sabreliner Corp. He was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and VFW. He loved to go fishing.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

Survivors include five daughters, Linda (Douglas) Laws, Janet (Gary) Abernathy Velma (James) Sutterer, and Tracy (Michael) Hemmann, all of Perryville, Wanda (Thomas) Hart of Warrenton, Mo.; a son, Randy (Katherine) Wibbenmeyer of Perryville; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a grandchild, seven brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home. A VFW service will be held at 6:30 today, and parish wake service at 7. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Maurus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tony Dattilo officiating. Burial will be in St. Maurus Cemetery, with military honors courtesy of VFW and Delta Team.

Memorials preferred to Alzheimer's Association.
