THEBES, Ill. -- Herman A. Stevenson, 51, of Thebes died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1997, at his home.

He was born Oct. 20, 1946, at Thebes, son of Loren and Lura Belle Coplin Stevenson.

Stevenson had worked at Illinois Minerals. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include three sisters, Helen Masterson and Hazel Garrett of Thebes, Barbara Shelton of Jackson, Mo., six brothers, Raymond Stevenson of Granite City, Earnest Stevenson, Leon and Eddie Foutch of Thebes, Eugene and J.P. Foutch of Roxana.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Billy Don Heady officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
