Herman Charles Loiseau, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 11, 1914, in East St. Louis, Ill., son of Henry and Mary Louise Hebert Loiseau. He and Lela Chapman were married Jan. 19, 1955.

Mr. Loiseau was a truck driver and salesman many years with Bunny Bread in East St. Louis. He moved to Fredericktown in 1979 from Belleville, Ill. He was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Silva, Mo. He was a member of VFW.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Force Signal Corps.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Clara Ellinghouse of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Christina Batchelor, Jason Ellinghouse, Amber Reeser, Daniel and Gabriel Ellinghouse; three great-grandchildren, Clay Batchelor, Christian Ellinghouse and Lucas Batchelor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Loiseau; a great-grandchild, Benjamin Batchelor; a stepson; five brothers; and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Moon officiating. Burial will be in New Marcus Memorial Park at Fredericktown. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Missouri Honors Team.
