Herman Lee Campbell, 84, of 1615 William St. died Sunday, Oct. 30, 1994, at the Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.
He was born Jan. 22, 1910, in Marion, Ill., the son of Jasper and Mary Evans Campbell. He married Lois E. Healy Oct. 22, 1933, in Nashville, Ill. She survives.
He was a production manager for Midwest Dairy Co. in Cape Girardeau. He owned and operated his own milk distributorship through Southeast Missouri and northeast Arkansas. He later worked for the Charlie Chip Co. before retiring.
He was a member of the Southeast Missouri State University Boosters Club and helped with the 10-yard chains along the sidelines at the university's football games for many years.
He attended the First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors are a son, Ben L. Campbell of Knoxville, Tenn.; three stepbrothers, Paul Gehrs of Bethalto, Ill., and Ferdinand and Charles Gehrs, both of Carlyle, Ill.; a stepsister, Edith Gehrs of Carlyle, Ill.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a stepsister.
Friends may call Tuesday beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Ford and Sons' Sprigg Street Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Dr. John E. Owen officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
