TAMMS, Ill - Herman Eugene Caine, 57, of Tamms, Ill., Rt. 1, died Saturday, Nov. 28, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born in Tamms, on June 25, 1935, to Herman Otto and Grace May Holshouser Caine.
He was married in Tamms to Mary May Pasdertz. She survives, along with one son, Randy Caine of Tamms, two daughters, Karen Schultz of Olive Branch and Sharon Caine of Tamms;
Three brothers, William "Bud" Caine of Tamms, Freddie Caine of Paris, Fla., James David Caine of Wyoming, Ill.; two sisters, Farie McRaven of Tamms and Pat Powers of Joliet. Five grandchildren also survive.
Caine was a member of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church, near Tamms, where he served as a church deacon and Sunday School superintendent. He was a machinist with the Missouri Pacific and Union Pacific Railroad for 26 years.
Friends may call after 5 p.m., today, at the Jones Funeral Home in Tamms. Funeral services will be held Monday, at 1 p.m., at the Sandy Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Albert Moore officiating. Burial will be in the McCrite Cemetery, near Tamms.
