Herbert Paul "Herbie" Rauh, 59, of New Port Richey, Fla., died Sunday, May 23, 2004, at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey.
He was born July 12, 1944, in Cape Girardeau, son of Herbert M. and Ida Stueve Rauh. He and Mia Esposito were married July 9, 1966, in New Haven, Conn.
Rauh served 27 years in the U.S. Navy, Naval Reserve and U.S. Coast Guard, retiring in 1992. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and Desert Storm.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Paul Rauh of New Port Richey; a daughter, Anne Rauh-Mars of New Port Richey; two brothers, Charles Rauh of Perryville, Mo., John Rauh of Jackson; a sister, Barbara Rauh-Powell of Pocahontas; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Michels and Lundquist Funeral Home in New Port Richey.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in New Port Richey. Burial will be in National Cemetery at Bushnell, Fla.
