SCOTT CITY -- Herbert Lowell Pickett, 75, of Scott City died Sunday, Aug. 10, 1997, at his home.
He was born March 19, 1922, in Whittington, Ill., son of Willard Wilson and Mazie Whittington Pickett. He and Emma Mae Wylder were mrried Feb. 5, 1941, at Benton.
Pickett was a driver with Tucker and Inman Truck Lines, retiring in 1981. He attended Broadway Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry Pickett of Mesquite, Nev., Dale Pickett of Jefferson City; his mother, Mazie Smith of Lutesville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jim King officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
