PERRYVILLE -- Funeral Mass for Herbert L. Hennemann of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 6:30-9:30 a.m. today.
Hennemann, 85, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 12, 1913, at Millheim, son of Joseph and Anna Behrle Hennemann. He and Ida Mae Lancaster were married June 27, 1934.
Hennemann was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Knights of Columbus Council 1263, Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, member and past president of the Perryville chapter of Western Catholic Union.
He was a former alderman for city of Perryville, past president of the park board, a fireman for 37 years and served as assistant fire chief from 1950 to 1978. He also was a member and past president of the Ozark Firefighters Association.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Shirley Meyer and Linda Leible of Perryville, Mary Ellen Brueggemann of St. Charles; two sisters, Irene Prost and Luella Roth of Perryville; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepbrother.
