PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Herbert T. Amberger, 78, of Perryville died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Perry Oaks Manor.

He was born April 13, 1930, in Belgique, Mo., son of Otto Joseph and Ella A. Phillips Amberger. He and Leila May Mueller were married April 19, 1974. She died April 25, 2007.

Amberger was a retired dock worker from Gilster Mary Lee. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.

He is survived by three sisters, Ruby Rodewald of St. Mary, Mo., Mary Rankin of Sparta, Ill., and Leona Lawson of Yuba City, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. today at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev Christopher Cole officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
