DELTA -- Funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. for Henry L. Hurst, 75, of Delta, who died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Service will be at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Kohlbaker. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Cemetery...

DELTA -- Funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. for Henry L. Hurst, 75, of Delta, who died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Service will be at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Kohlbaker. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Cemetery.

He was born June 1, 1915 in Ozora to the late Henry and Emily Donze Hurst.

He was a retired farmer and baker and was a member of the Advance Eagles Club.

He married Opal McGee on Feb. 3, 1937. She survives.

Other survivors are one son, Stephen R. Hurst of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Barbara L. Drew of Delta and Laura L. Hurst of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Verina Courtaway and Dorotaeau Crowley both of St. Louis; and five grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by four brothers and one sister.
