PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Henry W. Hennemann, 87, of Perryville died Friday, July 22, 2011, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born July 13, 1924, at Biehle, Mo., son of Louis and Dorothea Buchheit Hennemann. He and Nelda L. Lintner were married June 2, 1956. She preceded him in death Feb. 13, 1999...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Henry W. Hennemann, 87, of Perryville died Friday, July 22, 2011, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 13, 1924, at Biehle, Mo., son of Louis and Dorothea Buchheit Hennemann. He and Nelda L. Lintner were married June 2, 1956. She preceded him in death Feb. 13, 1999.

Hennemann worked 45 years for Kiefner Bros. in Perryville. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post 133, VFW Post 4282, all in Perryville, and AmVets Post 94.

He was a World War II Army veteran, recipient of three overseas bars, European African Middle Eastern Ribbon with one Bronze Star, American Theater Ribbon, World War II Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of Company B 103rd Glider Infantry 17th AB Division.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Dave) Geringer and Mary Sue (Terry) Reed of Perryville; a brother, Irwin Hennemann of Perryville; three sisters, Zita Winkler of Apple Creek, Mo., Bernice Clements of Old Appleton, Cornelia Clements of Perryville; five grandchildren, Dylan Geringer, Cassandra (Kurt) Goldsmith, Derrick (Sarah) Geringer, Lucas Reed, Kaitlyn Reed; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three sisters, Matilda Streiler, Marie Laurentius, Alma Ruch; a brother, Hugo Hennemann; and a brother in infancy.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The parish wake is at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, with military graveside service provided by American Legion Post 133 and Missouri Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to American Diabetes Association.
