HENRY E. BOSS

JACKSON - Henry E. Boss, 91, of Jackson, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1993 at the Garden View Care Center in O'Fallon, Mo. He was born Nov. 3, 1901 in Jackson, the son of Alvin A. Boss and Bessie Abernathy Boss.

He married Ruby L. Spradling on May 16, 1925. She preceded him in death on May 7, 1968.

Survivors include: one sister, Margaret Short of Jackson; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter.

In 1929 he became a stockholder in McCombs Furniture and Undertaking Co. He sold his interest in McCombs in May of 1955. He also worked more than 30 years as head cashier at Cape County Savings Bank.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, a longtime member of the Jackson Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday.

Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
