Henrietta P. Kimmel, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, April 9, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 15, 1917, in Riverton, Ill., daughter of Judd Erwin and Mary Jane Pitts Wilson. She and Cyril Kimmel were married in 1934 in Union County, Ill.
Kimmel grew up in Grand Tower, Ill. She moved to St. Louis and owned and operated a confectionary store and also worked for L.B. Price Co. 15 years. She moved to Rolla, Mo., in 1982 and to Cape Girardeau in 1989.
Survivors include a son, Lee Kimmel of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Mary Sybil Peter of Florissant, Mo.; a brother, Judd Wilson of Wisconsin; a sister, Jenny Stone of Metropolis, Ill.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Private entombment will be at a later date in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
