MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Mary Helen Zimmerman, 95, of Marble Hill died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at Elder Care.
She was born Nov. 7, 1909, at Zalma, Mo., daughter of Henry Levi and Minnie Belle Thomas James. She and Mason Englehart were married Jan. 7, 1933. He died in 1950. She and Clinton Zimmerman were married in July 1958. He died in 1991.
Zimmerman attended Southeast Missouri State University, Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, and Carthage Teachers College at Carthage, Mo. She had been a teacher at Glenallen, Mo., and Prospect, Mo., schools. She also worked at Wicecarver's Store, ASC Office, and Farm Bureau, all in Marble Hill. She was a member of Marble Hill Bible Chapel.
Survivors include a son, Dr. John Englehart of Marble Hill; two daughters, Barbara McDermott of Tempe, Ariz., Mary Cartwright of Richardson, Texas; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Gerald Huff and Andrew Englehart officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery.
