BELL CITY, Mo. -- Helen Lorene Rampley Winfrey, 87, of Bell City passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 21, 1928, at Swinton, Missouri, the daughter of Leonard and Verbie Morris Rampley.
Helen worked for Barnhart Industries for over 20 years, retiring in 1991. She later worked for VNA Home Healthcare for 20 years. She was a member of Bell City General Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Winfrey of Bell City; four daughters, Diana (Bill) Cawvey of Hillsboro, Missouri, Marilyn (Gerald) Seavey of Belleville, Illinois, Patti Todd of Eureka, Missouri, and Janet (Laurence) Schmidt of St. Louis; four brothers, Joe (Debbie) Rampley of Bloomfield, Missouri, Jim (Becky) Rampley of Bell City, Carl (Kay) Rampley of Oran, Missouri, and Leonard (Pam) Rampley of Advance, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Joyce Rampley of Meadowview, Virginia; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, David and Dennis Howard; a son-in-law, Tim Todd; four brothers, Carmen (Lavern) Rampley, Charles Rampley, Raymond (Betty) Rampley and Richard Rampley; a sister, Morene (Bloyse) Propst; and two grandchildren, Dennis Howard Jr. and Carrie Cawvey.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bob Bradford officiating. Burial will be at George Cemetery.
