Helen Bernice Snider, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Aug. 9, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born July 13, 1913, at Oran, daughter of John E. and Nelda Rottler Davenport. She and Hubert O. Snider were married Aug. 22, 1932, at Delta. He died April 17, 1968...

Helen Bernice Snider, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Aug. 9, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born July 13, 1913, at Oran, daughter of John E. and Nelda Rottler Davenport. She and Hubert O. Snider were married Aug. 22, 1932, at Delta. He died April 17, 1968.

Snider was a seamstress at Sports Specialty Shoes in Chaffee. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Eva Black of Creve Coeur, Mary Hiett of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Geneva Oliver of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, and a grandchild.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jon Rehbein officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
