Helen M. Raines, 87, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2002, at Heritage Manor in Litchfield, Ill. She was born May 13, 1914, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Charles and Myrtle Smith Moore. She and Carl Raines were married Nov. 13, 1983, in Las Vegas, Nev. He died March 11, 1999...

Helen M. Raines, 87, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2002, at Heritage Manor in Litchfield, Ill.

She was born May 13, 1914, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Charles and Myrtle Smith Moore. She and Carl Raines were married Nov. 13, 1983, in Las Vegas, Nev. He died March 11, 1999.

Raines attended Jonesboro, Ill., Methodist Church, and was a life member of McClure, Ill., VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Imagene Sarsany of Witt, Ill.; a sister, Connie Lane of Thousand Palms, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5-7 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery near McClure.
