MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Helen Leona Hickam Price, 89, of Marble Hill passed away in her sleep Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, in Crossville, Tenn.
She was born Dec. 4, 1920, in Lutesville, Mo., daughter of James Isaac Hickam and Isabelle Eaker.
She and her family lived in El Paso, Texas; Okinawa, Japan; Milwaukee; and Stuttgart, Germany, before settling in El Paso for their retirement.
Her love for the mountains in New Mexico led her to live there several years before her death.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Ann Price Martin of Crossville, Rebecca Susan Price and grandson, Collin James Armontrout of Granbury, Texas; and a sister, Jewell Lillie of Indio, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Herbert H. Price, and a son, David Roland Price.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. She will be buried with her husband and son in Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso.
