ANNA, Ill. -- Helen C. Parker, 88, of Anna died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at her home. She was born Nov. 9, 1912, in Anna, daughter of James E. and Mary R. Smith Waggle. She and Arnold Parker were married June 23, 1962, in Anna. Parker was a licensed practical nurse, having worked at Union County Hospital, Anna Mental Health and Lincoln State Hospital. ANNA, Ill. -- Helen C. Parker, 88, of Anna died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at her home.

She was born Nov. 9, 1912, in Anna, daughter of James E. and Mary R. Smith Waggle. She and Arnold Parker were married June 23, 1962, in Anna.

Parker was a licensed practical nurse, having worked at Union County Hospital, Anna Mental Health and Lincoln State Hospital. She was a member of First Christian Church in Henry, Ill.

Survivors include her husband; a stepdaughter, Martha Macy of Mason, Ohio; a sister, Mary Drury of Dayton, Ohio; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and six sisters.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. F.M. Speakman and Curt Walters officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
