SIKESTON -- Helen Jones, 94, of Fulton, died Thursday, March 24, 1994, at Presbyterian Manor in Fulton.
She was born July 23, 1899, in New Madrid, daughter of Edward Alanson and Mary Irene Powers Loud. She married Boy Mosely Jones, who preceded her in death.
Jones is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, and received a master's degree in education from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
She taught music in public schools at Lilbourn, New Madrid and Sikeston, and was an elementary principal in Lilbourn.
Jones was a member of the Methodist Church and Daughters of American Revolution. Formerly of Sikeston, she moved to Fulton in 1980.
Survivors include two sons, Russell Jones of Fulton, Alanson Jones of Broken Bow, Neb.; a sister, Eddie Kinzer of Fairfax, Va.; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Gary Cartner officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery here.
