Helen Jones

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Helen Christine Jones, 72, of Chaffee passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Chaffee Nursing Center, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Sept. 24, 1946, in Chaffee to the late George Dewey and Bonnie Mae Naugle Horman. She married Ben Jones on Nov. 27, 1993, and he preceded her in death June 8, 1995.

Helen was a homemaker. She was of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by two sons, Jeff (Marcia) Meuir of Cape Girardeau and Darrin Meuir; a niece who was like a daughter, Ashley (Josh) Dambach of Chaffee; five brothers, Ray Horman of Tom Bean, Texas, Jerry Horman and Delbert Horman, both of Chaffee, Delmer Horman of Cape Girardeau and Dennis Horman of St. Louis; a sister, Ellen "Carleen" Piper of Chaffee; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded by a nephew, William Michael Kitchen, and a niece, Kristy Marie Horman.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
