Funeral service for Helen Lorene Huffman, 2957 Valley Creek Road, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Revs. Cy Smith and Don Stephens will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to service time.

Huffman, 85, died Tuesday, July 2, 1996, at her home.

She was born July 18, 1910, at Neely's Landing, daughter of Milton and Lula Childs Schloss. She and Warren G. Huffman were married Oct. 1, 1927, at Benton. He died March 7, 1976.

Huffman was a member of Red Star Baptist Church and its Everready Sunday School Class.

Survivors include a daughter, Imogene Littleton of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
