Helen Goll Hutson, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997, at her home. She was 86 years old.
She was born May 6, 1911, in Lutesville, the daughter of Dr. Charles and Estella Goll Farrar. On Aug. 22, 1934, she married Glenn Hutson in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death June 18, 1994.
She was a graduate of Central Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis and worked as a registered nurse at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau and State Hospital at Farmington. She attended the Naomi Sunday school class at First Baptist Church, where she also was a member.
She is survived by two sons, Charles and James Hutson, both of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Helen Hammond of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Dr. George Farrar of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Wilma Bergjans of Florissant; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. Service will be at 10 a.m. in the funeral chapel, with Dr. John Owen officiating. Interment will follow in Lorimier Cemetery.
