CHARLESTON -- Helen Frances O'Connor, 84, of Charleston, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 8, 1907, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of George Francis and Bertha Louise Franck AuBuchon. She married Patrick Herman O'Connor May 12, 1930. He died July 16, 1988.
O'Connor had worked in the housekeeping department at St. Joseph Community Hospital in Elgin, Ill., and had been a caregiver for the terminally ill.
She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Sikeston, Daughters of Isabella, Altar Society, Catholic Knights of America, and the Poplar Bluff Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include a son, George O'Connor of Columbia; two daughters, Anna O'Connor of the home, Mary Benson of Columbia, Mont.; four brothers, Robert AuBuchon of Kansas City, Louis and Theodore AuBuchon of Poplar Bluff, George AuBuchon of Athens, Ala.; a sister, Anna Davi of Poplar Bluff; 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, brother and sister.
Her body was donated to medical science.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Church, with Msgr. William Stanton officiating.
Another mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church in Poplar Bluff, with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating.
Nunnelee Funeral Chapel of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
