Helen E. Davis, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 22, 1910, in Egypt Mills, daughter of William and Nora Lueders Hengst. She and F.H. "Buck" Davis were married on Nov. 9, 1935, in Egypt Mills. He passed away Jan. 22, 1994.
She and her husband owned Davis Photography for more than 30 years. Davis was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and of the church's Ladies Aid. She has been a volunteer at the Lutheran Home since January 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, LaVerne McNeely of Cape Girardeau; two grandsons, Ryan McNeely and wife Melissa of Cape Girardeau, and Chris McNeely and wife Lisa of San Clemente, Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Kendal, Cassidy and Cade McNeely; and a special friend, Jack Ford.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Visitation will continue from 1 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church. The Rev. Douglas C. Breite will officiate, with burial in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
