SCOTT CITY -- Helen Louvine Davidson, 79, of Scott City died Thursday, Feb. 27, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 2, 1917, at Fornfelt, daughter of William and Victoria Kern Corvick. She first married Albert E. Martin in 1942 in Spokane, Wash. He died June 20, 1944. She and Woodrow Wilson Davidson were married July 19, 1952, in Jonesboro, Ark. He died April 20, 1984.
Davidson was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Council of Catholic Women, Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 6407 in Scott City, and Daughters of Isabella in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a son, John "Jack" Martin of Chaffee; two daughters, Myra Severit of Okinawa, Japan and Brenda Baker of Scott City; a brother, Lloyd Corvick of Scott City; two sisters, LaVerne Rogers and Darlene DeLong of Kelso; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 4 p.m. Tuesday. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Pat Wissman officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
