Helen B. Cook, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 18, 2020, at her home.
She was born May 28, 1924 in Patton, Missouri, to Pinkney and Rella Seabaugh Brotherton. She and John F. Cook were married Dec. 30, 1944, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death July 16, 1995.
Helen liked to work in her flower garden and to cook for her family.
She attended Christ Church of the Heartland.
Survivors include a son, Tim (Dana) Cook of Jackson; daughters, Janet Cook of Cape Girardeau, Vickie Cox of Jackson and Patsy (Fritz) Bargman of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren, Lynn (Emily) Ehlers of Jackson, Jill Ehlers of Cape Girardeau, Torie (Robert) Eskew of Jackson, Brennen (Ashley) Cox of Jackson and Mallory Cook of Jackson; and great-grandchildren, Haley Ehlers, Danielle Ehlers, Grant Eskew and Grady Eskew, all of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Cook; parents; five sisters; and six brothers.
There will be a private family viewing followed by a private graveside service at Post Oak Church Cemetery in Patton, with the Rev. Tommy Miller officiating.
