Helen Louise Coburn, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Chateau Girardeau. She was born Jan. 12, 1931, in Blytheville, Arkansas, to George and Lucile Chance Heath. Helen Louise Coburn, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Chateau Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 12, 1931, in Blytheville, Arkansas, to George and Lucile Chance Heath. She and Marion Coburn were married Jan. 23, 1950, in Arkansas.

Helen was a sales associate for many years at Famous Barr, Christopher Banks and Sears, where she later retired.

She was a member of Cape Girardeau Church of Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Debbie (Tom) Barrows of Oak Ridge, Delphia (Greg) Jameson of Fruitland and Denna (Jack) VanBoening of Oak Ridge; son, Delbert (Judy) Coburn of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by mother, Lucile Chance Heath; father, George Heath; husband, Marion Coburn; and brother and sister-in-law, Doss and Joan Heath.

Helen selflessly donated her body to science with Saint Louis University School of Medicine Body Gift Program.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau, with Mark McAllister officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to Church of Christ.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
