HELEN CAMPBELL

CHARLESTON -- Helen Campbell, 58, of Charleston died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1996, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

She was born March 21, 1938, in Henson, daughter of Herman and Hattie Canady Carroll.

Campbell was a member of Mercy Seat Baptist Church.

Survivors include five sons, Calvin Sr. and Johnny Campbell of East Prairie, Robert Campbell of Oceanside, Calif., James Campbell of Virginia Beach, Va., Nathan Campbell of Kansas City; four daughters, Tina, Dyrnell, Sylvia and Angela Campbell, all of Charleston; a brother, R.B. Gaines of Charleston; two sisters, Nannie Williams of Charleston, Esther Simpson of St. Louis; and stepmother, Nellie Carroll of Washington, D.C.

Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 6-7 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Church, with Elder Robert Campbell and the Rev. J.L. Posey officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
