Hazel Scott-Smith, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at The Lutheran Home.
She was born April 17, 1923, in Ruble, Missouri, to John and Mattie Moses Decker.
Hazel worked many years in the health-care profession. She also worked as a cook for Luhr Brothers and did bartending in the Cape Girardeau area.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Scott of Cape Girardeau and Sharon (Jim Bob) Mullen of Virginia; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, two daughters, five brothers and a sister.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
