Hazel Irene Meyer, 89, of Jackson died Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Jackson Manor. She was born Sept. 30, 1913, in Jackson, daughter of Samuel and Minnie McKnight. Hazel Irene Meyer, 89, of Jackson died Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Jackson Manor.

She was born Sept. 30, 1913, in Jackson, daughter of Samuel and Minnie McKnight. She and Charles Henry Meyer were married in 1948, in Arkansas. He died in 1994.

Meyer was a member of Zion United Methodist Church at Gordonville.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Larry Meyer of Portage, Ind., Mike Meyer of Gordonville; and two grandchildren, Caroline Meyer and Chris Meyer of Portage.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Kuehle officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
