THEBES, Ill. -- Hazel M. Davis, 76, of Thebes died on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born Nov. 11, 1926 at Corning, Ark., daughter of Willis and Ivory Tucker McKinney. She and Herschel M. Davis were married March 19, 1945. He died March 19, 2000...

THEBES, Ill. -- Hazel M. Davis, 76, of Thebes died on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 11, 1926 at Corning, Ark., daughter of Willis and Ivory Tucker McKinney.

She and Herschel M. Davis were married March 19, 1945. He died March 19, 2000.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Duffell of Thebes; two brothers, Orvil McKinney of New Madrid, Mo., and Billy McKinney of South Carolina; three sisters, Ruby Hinkle of Rockford, Ill., Lillion Lewis of New Orleans and Mabel Starr of Fairview Heights, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and on Tuesday until time of service at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, Ill.
