Hazel B. Clingingsmith, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born June 9, 1909, in St. Louis, daughter of Fredrick and Louise Frey Schneider. She and Raymond M. Clingingsmith were married Feb. 9, 1932, in Illinois. He died May 10, 1985...

Hazel B. Clingingsmith, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born June 9, 1909, in St. Louis, daughter of Fredrick and Louise Frey Schneider. She and Raymond M. Clingingsmith were married Feb. 9, 1932, in Illinois. He died May 10, 1985.

Clingingsmith was a member of Third Street United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women.

Survivors include a son, Donald Clingingsmith of Sedgewickville; three daughters, Jeanette Curnell of Wappapello, Jessie Quade of Potosi, Patsy Abernathy of Jackson; a brother, Wallace Schneider of Jackson; a sister, Louise Myer of Old Appleton; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother, and a grandson.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Judith Breiner officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
